Description:

This is a higher volume traffic court due to the number of speeding tickets issued to motorists on the New York State Thruway. The Greene County District Attorney?s Office prosecutes the speeding and traffic tickets that were issued by the New York State Troopers. This Court requires Attorneys to appear as the Court does not allow plea negotiations by mail. Of interest, Athens was recently featured in the remake of the film, The War of the Worlds.
