New York Traffic Courts

Description:

The Court is located in the Municipal Complex with the Police Station on Western Avenue, in Guilderland, New York. This is a higher volume traffic court due to the number of speeding tickets issued to motorists on the New York State Thruway. The Town Attorney prosecutes the speeding and traffic tickets that were issued by the New York State Troopers and the Guilderland Police Officers. The Albany County Sheriffs prosecute their own tickets. SPECIAL NOTE: The Guilderland Town Court requires payment of the fine at the time of the plea disposition. Special arrangements need to be made to insure the fine can be paid on the appearance date, otherwise defendants can plan on making at least two appearances.
