New York Traffic Courts

Traffic Court usually starts around 4 pm on Wednesday afternoons. Court office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Although a very small part of the New York State Thruway passes through the Village of Ravena, this is a fairly high volume Court in southern Albany County. The Town Attorney prosecutes the speeding and other traffic matters. The Albany County District Attorney's Office prosecutes the lower level crimes and misdemeanors such as Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle. All traffic matters require an appearance in Court to negotiate a reduction of the Charge.
